Anthony T Mignone, age 87, of Deer Park, New York passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024.
Beloved husband of Agnes. Loving brother of Robert (Nancy) Mignone and the late Michael Mignone, Angelina Mangano, Joseph Mignone and Andrew Mignone.
Tony was a kind and generous man, loved by everyone. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1962. He married his wife Agnes on July 19, 1969. They moved to Deer Park in 1972. He was a devout Catholic and attended mass. regularly at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church. Tony was known as, “Tony the music man.” He owned 5th Avenue Record and Tape located in Park Slope for over 50 years, retiring at the age of 82. Tony was very outgoing and made friends wherever life took him. His store was a place where his faithful customers often gathered, not only to shop, but to chat, have a cup of coffee and browse through the records, tapes, CD’s, movies and other collectibles. Tony knew all there was to know about music. From the era of his favorite singer, Joni James, to the rappers of the present day, he knew how to talk to customers of all ages. Rest in peace Uncle Tony, we will miss you.
