The family will receive friends and loved ones Friday, July 29, 2022, between 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home. Mary Ann’s celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022, beginning at 4:00 PM at the funeral home with the family receiving friends and loved ones one hour prior to service.
Mary Ann is a graduate of Athens State and UNA with a Master’s Degree in education. She is also a retired school teacher from Priceville Elementary School, where she was very dedicated to the success of her students. Mary Ann was heavily involved with the local chapter of Priceville Civitan; even serving as President for many years. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Club. Mary Ann was a founding member of Priceville Friends of the Library, and a founding member of the Rock Creek Marina Floating Church.
Mary Ann is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Hannah Shea Heflin, 3 years old, 2005.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Frank Bryson.
Mary Ann is also survived by son, Samuel Ira Lee Heflin (Jeanne), Josh and Zach (Chelsea); son, Theran McCoy Heflin, Sean; daughter, Wendy Ann Heflin (Courtney), Hannah (preceded) and Maddie Claire; step-son, Bobby Bryson (Shana), Morgan and Caitlin; step-daughter, Cheryl Bryson, Michael, Jennifer and Mallory; grandchildren, Alissa Dutton, Colton and Jacob; Niclus Culver, Piper, and 17 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Priceville Civitan or Hospice of the Valley.
