Her Celebration of Life service will be April 5th, 2025 at 1pm at VESTAVIA BAPTIST CHURCH.
Martha was born in Decatur on July 29th, 1949, to James L. Nelson and Juanita Phillips Nelson. Martha attended Austin High School graduating in 1967. She married Ronald Stevenson on September 5th, 1968. She was a valued employee of Decatur Morgan Hospital for 35 years in the medical records department.
Martha was a member of the Emmanuel Community of Christ Church joining as a child. She was involved in several Bible study classes and participated in the choir on special occasions. She was preceded in death by her parents James L. Nelson and Juanita Nelson, and Cora Nelson. One sister Barbara Smallwood.
She is survived by her husband Ronald Stevenson, two children Ron Stevenson II (Jenn), Anastasia (Stacey) Harlan (Dale), Granddaughter Maddie Kate and Special friend Allie Kilgo as well as numerous loved nieces and nephews.
