John A. Brown

John A. Brown Sr., 87, passed away September 15, 2012, at his home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tom Salter officiating. Burial will be in Nixon Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral service.

He was born May 11, 1925, in Marshall County to Moses A. and Geneva Maude Brown. He was a retired maintenance worker from North Alabama Regional Hospital as well as a retired barber. He loved to hunt and fish, raise beagles for rabbit hunting, and spend time with grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Coleene Brown; sons, John A. Brown Jr. and Donald A. Brown; and great-granddaughter, Kyleigh Sutton.

He is survived by his daughters, Patricia A. Copeland (Tommy) and Barbara J. Green (Nicholas); brothers, Quenton Brown and Forrest "Bowie" Brown; grandchildren, Tyler Copeland (Allison), Ben Copeland and Max Sutton; step grandchildren, Bryant Sharp and Micah Bowersock; and great-grandchild, Caiden Sutton.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Copeland, Tyler Copeland, Ben Copeland, Max Sutton, Nicholas Green and Edwin Sutton.
