Gloria Crider, 91, of Thomasville, AL, passed away on October 22, 2023. She was born on April 8, 1932, in Sulligent, AL, to William Gordon Hall and Ethel Hall. Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 26 at 1 PM at Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur, AL
Gloria was a beloved homemaker. She dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family. Gloria's nurturing nature and selflessness were evident in everything she did. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Gene) Clarke, and her son, Kyle (Beverly) Crider. Gloria also leaves behind her cherished granddaughter, Amy (Matt) Davis, and her beloved granddaughter, Emily (Tyler) Bagley. Her great-granddaughters, Ella, Mia, and Isabelle Davis, as well as Ava and Vivienne Bagley, brought immense joy to Gloria's life.
Gloria was preceded in death by her loving husband, Byron Crider, her sister, Mabel Peeler, and her parents, William Gordon Hall and Ethel Hall. Mrs. Crider attended Sulligent High School and furthered her education at The University of Montevallo and The University of Alabama.
Gloria found solace and community in her faith. She was a member of Grove Hill United Methodist Church, where she worshipped and found support in her spiritual journey.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Grove Hill United Methodist Church, Clarke County Animal Shelter, or Compassion Ranch. These organizations held special meaning to Gloria and exemplified her compassionate nature. Mrs. Crider will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.
