Travis T. Conley, 55 of Dayton, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 at his home following a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Pamela Conley, his sons; Tyler and Dylan Conley, a brother Andy, three step-sons James, Aaron and Skylar, granddaughter Lyla Conley (Tyler and Sarah ) and a host of other family and friends. Travis is a 1984 graduate of Belmont High School. He worked as a motorcycle funeral escort for the last several years, was an avid reader and trivia fan.
Travis loved his job as a motorcycle escort and those that worked with him. In that position, he was able to share his passion for bikes and found friendships there; a clear win-win for him.
Travis most enjoyed the writing of Lee Child, John Grissom and Dan Brown and you could always find him with a book in his hand. He would often take his book with him to read during the breaks of doing his escort work and hated it if he forgot it. He could never put a book down once he started it.
Travis was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and anything Ohio State Buckeye. His fall Saturday’s and Sunday’s you would find him cheering his teams on, rarely missing a game.
He was not just good at trivia night; he was trivia night. Trav would win almost every round of trivial pursuit that anyone’s recalled him playing. “I know everything about nothing”, he would remark. But mostly his trivia knowledge came from his voracious passion for learning and his wide variety of interests. He was very inquisitive as how things worked or why they are the way they are. His natural curiousness helped him crush anyone at trivia.
He enjoyed tinkering with his car and motorcycle and loved the rides he got to take with his wife, traveling to Dragon’s tail and the Moonshine 28 in North Carolina as trips that highlighted their travels.
He also enjoyed some of the finer things in life like a nice cigar, fine bourbon, an excellent weapon or an eye-catching watch, just to name a few. But he most enjoyed his family, his dogs (Sissy girl and Brownie-Deuce) and really loved sitting in front of a fire on a crisp night with those closest to him.
Travis was loved by many and he loved those around him ferociously. You could always count on him when it mattered most. He enjoyed life and all that it had to offer. His spirit, passion for life and winning smile will be missed every day.
A memorial service will be held privately at the Tobias Funeral Home Belmont Chapel. Condolences for the family can be made at www.tobiasfuneralhome.com.
