Roger Williams McDaniel

McDANIEL, Roger Williams 82 of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully, Monday, July 10, 2023. Roger was born June 24, 1941 in Delaware, Ohio to the late Giles Franklin and Cuma Helen (Williams) McDaniel.

Roger leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 57 years Judith (Widows) McDaniel, son Ryan (Kathryn) McDaniel, daughter Wendy (Erik) Christensen, granddaughters Allison (Donald) Ennis, Bethany Magee. Also surviving are his sisters Barb (Tom) Bruce, Marsha Rizor, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and best friend of 70 years, Rev. Jim Christy.

Roger was a graduate of Richwood High School (now North Union High School) in Richwood, Ohio where he was honored by being inducted into the North Union Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012. Roger also graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in business. He was an entrepreneur at his core, dedicated and driven. He was the CEO and owner of Duncan Oil Company since 1978. He loved operating his business until the day he left us. Roger always saw the best in his fellow man and was deeply loved and respected by all that knew him.

Graveside services will be 12:00 pm, Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Price Cemetery, 13500 Price Mather Road, Richwood, Ohio 43344 with his best friend Rev. Jim Christy presiding. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations in memory of Roger be made to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) or the Humane Society of Dayton (https://daytonserves.org/listing-item/humane-society-of-greater-dayton/).
