Robert Franklin Houston

HOUSTON, Robert Franklin age 78, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Dayton Veteran's Hospital. Robert was born in Holden, West Virginia to the late Evans and Inez(Lampkin)Houston. He joined the United States Air Force after graduating from High School and served many tours in the Far East. After retiring from the military he went back to work as a civil service employee at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Robert was a faithful member of the Chapel #3 male choir and thoroughly enjoyed their annual anniversary celebrations. He was also an avid fisherman. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his grandson Derrick Wilson. Robert is survived by his wife Letha (Green)Houston, son Paul Houston both of Dayton, Ohio, daughter Nanette Houston of St. Paul Minnesota, three granddaughters Javan Houston of Waterloo, Iowa Ashley Weygant of St. Paul, Minnesota, Desire Houston of Minneapolis, Minnesota, six great-grandchildren, sisters; Patricia Fleming of Duluth, Minnesota, Kay(Lavelle)Hall of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Aunt Jean Thomas of Fairmont, West Virginia and a host of friends and relatives. Funeral service will be held 12noon Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base Chapel #3 682 Chapel Lane Dayton, Ohio 45431.
