Robert Edward Dietz, 69, of Centerville, Ohio, passed away on May 12th, 2023. Born on December 26th, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of Mary and Ralph Dietz. Robert was survived by his wife of 42 years, Debbie Dietz, his children Shawn, Andrew, and Missy Dietz (Daniel Ploss), his grandchildren Corey, Phoebe, and Piper, his sister Peggy (Jim) Hicks, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Robin and Mike Hunter, and numerous nieces and nephews as well as his Goldendoodle Lucy.
Robert was known to his friends and family as “Bob or Bobby”. He was funny, honest, dependable, loving, thoughtful, laid back, and kind. Bob retired from GM Chevy Truck and Bus as an assembler after 30 years. He was an extremely hard worker on and off the clock. His hard work and dedication were greatly appreciated by his family.
Bob loved spending time with his family and friends. His favorite hobbies were gambling at casinos and traveling. In his younger years he was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing.
A funeral service for Bob will be held on Thursday, May 25th at 12pm at David’s Cemetery Chapel located at 4600 Mad River Rd. Friends may visit starting at 11am.
