Robert Marshall Coons, age 78, of Huber Heights passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Fort Worth, TX on Friday, March 29, 1946 to the late Robert and Elizabeth (Nee: Marshall) Coons.
Aside from his loving parents, Robert is preceded in death by two brothers; Michael (saBecky Coons)and David Coons.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lorna Smedebush-Coons; three sisters, Janie (Jerry) Bettinger, Mary (Chuck) Winchell and Cynthia (Dan) Edgington; one brother, Billy (Marcia) Coons; her sister in laws, Joanie Brodine, Mary Lou Kent, and Donna Metzger. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.
A memorial mass will be be held at 12 NOON on Wednesday, August 14th, 2024 at St. Helen Catholic Church. Burial and military honors will take place at Dayton National Cemetery on August 14th, 2024 at 2:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or the Gideon Bible Society in Roberts’s memory.
