Richard was born in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Edward and Grace (Krisher) Miller on November 30, 1925. He was preceded in death by his son Timothy and his loving wife Martha Jane (House) of 46 years. He served in the U.S. Navy for 2 years during World War II. He was a member of the National and Local Plumbers and Pipefitters Union for over 65 years. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where he sang in the choir, served as a Deacon and was the Building Superintendent.
Richard is survived by his three sons, Rick (Brenda) of Beavercreek, Ed (Ellen) of Mansfield Texas, and Dan (Chris) of Dayton: Six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation to be held at the Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., followed by the funeral service at noon. Richard’s final resting place will be at Dayton Memorial Park on North Dixie Drive.
