Richard "Rick" A. Dunne

Richard (Rick) Alexander Dunne passed away on December 7 after battling a few illnesses for several years. He is survived by his father Jim & step-mother Jacque, sister Kelly & spouse Brian, and brother Jim & spouse Karen. Other family who will miss him are aunts Kitty, Sally, Debbie, and Bebe and many nephews (Colin, Jack and Kevin) and nieces (Sarah, Maggie, Kiera, Caitlin and Olivia). As the youngest, Rick was especially loved by his mother Rosie who unfortunately died some 25 years ago. Rick returned her love. Growing up Rick had his “almost family” Karen, Tom, Stephen, Lisa, and Kristin Davis. Rick was close to his brother-in-law Brian and step-sister Ashley. Amber, his beloved cat, is already missing him.

Rick graduated from Carroll High School and played on its successful soccer teams. He then graduated with a Business Degree from the University of Dayton (UD). He has always loved UD and its sports teams. He could regularly be heard by his neighbors rooting on the Flyers. One of his best jobs was with Alpha & Omega working on the UD campus getting to know so many of the UD family. Rick had many Dayton-area friends and they often met at the Shamrock Club. He regularly bragged about his prowess in darts.

We will all greatly miss Rick. May his soul be at peace.

A visitation for Rick will be held Friday, December 13, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Tobias Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Dayton, Ohio 45432. A funeral service will occur Saturday, December 14th, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Tobias Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel. A burial will occur Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Woodland Cemetery, 118 Woodland Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45409.
