Patty Jane Burger

Patty Jane Burger, age 84 of Beavercreek, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Village at the Greene. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Opal Lybrook. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Allen Burger. She is also survived by her children: Cindy Smiley, Jon Smiley and wife Wendy, and Susan Castillo and husband Martin, all of TX. Three step-children also survive her: Mark Burger and wife Lorie, Mike Burger and wife Cindy and Rick Burger and wife Kathy, all of Beavercreek. A sister, Betty Buerk also survives her, as do three grandchildren: Marcus Castillo, Alison Smiley and Raelle Bell, as well as her step-grandchildren: Kelli Neff, Mark Burger, Drew Percieval, Janet Hopkins, Carrie Burger, Lindsay Hinrichs-Conklin, and Amy Curley, and nine great-grandchildren. Patty was a 1950 graduate of Northridge High School and was active on several alumni committees. She was a member of Hawker UCC Church. Patty taught line dancing at the Beavercreek Senior Center, Lathram Center and Hithergreen Center for more than 15 years. Friends may pay their respects at the Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel from 11:30 AM until 1 PM on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1PM with Pastor Allen Kahler officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Park Cemetery.
