Nicholas Scott Evanoo

Nicholas and this Evanoo Family moved back to the Dayton, Ohio area after Michael Left the Air Force in 1993.

Nicholas was raised in Xenia, where he lived with his parents for most of his life until he was married to Amy Bangerter in 2017.

Nicholas attended St. Brigid Elementary and Middle School and Carroll High School. Nicholas Graduated from Carroll in 2011.

Nicholas was a proud Eagle Scout from Troop 165 in Xenia. Nicholas started his Scouting as a Cub Scout in Pack 140 and remained with Pack 140 as a Webelo. He moved to Troop 165 as a Boy Scout in order to remain with his friends from the Pack. He was awarded Arrow of Light, many merit badges, and the highest rank in Scouting, Eagle Scout.

Although Nick and Amy both went to Carroll and knew each other there, they did not meet and fall in love until later. Nick and Amy met again after High School through mutual friends and fell in love after a few dates. They were married on June 24th, 2017. Nick and Amy had one child, their Son, Haiden Scott Evanoo, born on 13 April 2019.

After High School Nick went to Sinclair for a short time but decided to postpone school until later and was focused on his family and on his career as a Machinist and Independent Care Provider.

Nicholas was also proud of being a Blacksmith and Machinist. He was taught Blacksmithing and basic welding through Southern Ohio Forge and Anvil and learned Machining on-the-job at the machine shops where he worked including TDL, Swihart, TJar, Mancor and Bitec.

Nicholas took a break from his career as a Machinist when his mother was ill to help care for his brother and started another career as an Independent Provider / Caregiver for his multi-handicapped brother, Michael Richard Evanoo (Mikey). Nick deeply loved Mikey and Mikey was most happy when his brother was around and caring for him.

Nick was most proud of the care and love he gave to his family. Nick cared for both Haiden and Mikey on most days and was an excellent caregiver to both, as well as a very loving Father to Haiden and Brother to Mikey. He was also a caring and thoughtful husband to Amy and a caring son to his parents Michael and Mary.

Nick’s Mother, Mary Evanoo, preceded him in death as well as his Grandfather, John Richard Evanoo but is survived by his Wife Amy Evanoo, Father Michael Scott Evanoo, Brother Michael Richard Evanoo, Father and Mother in law – Bob and Annette Bangerter, Brother in law Robbie Bangerter, Grandmother Rita Evanoo, as well as multiple Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Second Cousins, and other in laws that all deeply loved him.

Nick is also survived by his “Brothers and Sisters from another Mother” that he also considered family by choice including: Michael Harper, Flen Hix, James Moore, Britney Moore, Eric LeMaster, AJ Brown, Kevin Marshall, James Laycox, and Maddy Morton.

Nick loved to laugh and enjoy life to it’s fullest. He made friends with everyone and made everyone happy that he was around. Family and Friends meant everything to Nick:

• Nick was a friend to all he met.

• He was a Brother by choice to a select group.

• He was a Brother by blood and caregiver to Mikey

• He was a wonderful and loving Father to Haiden

• He was a loving Husband to Amy

• He was a caring and loving Son to Mike and Mary as well as Bob and Annette

A memorial visitation for Nicholas will be held Friday, November 17, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Brigid Catholic Church, 312 Fairground Rd, Xenia, Ohio, followed by a memorial mass of christian burial at 11:00 AM.
