Mark C. Newkold, age 58, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024 at his home in Beavercreek. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Brian Newkold; grandparents, Richard and Helen Newkold and Elwin and Inez Weekley; very dear friend, John Mazzae; and numerous beloved pets. He is survived by his parents, Ralph and Beverly Newkold; sisters, Lisa (David) Honkala and Helen Newkold; nephews, David (Sarah), Dennis (Laura), and Bryan (Dawn) Honkala; niece, Marina Honkala; great niece, Layla Rose-Honkala; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mark was born May 7, 1966 in Dayton, OH. He was a 1984 graduate of Carroll High School and attended OU and WSU. He was a lifelong animal lover and Kansas City Chiefs fan. He will be missed. The family will share plans for a gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life in the coming weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mark's memory to SICSA.
