RUPP, Marion Ann “Mae” (nee Bedrin), age 83, of Dayton, OH, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at St. Leonard’s Franciscan Community. Mae was born on September 14, 1930 in Simpson, PA, to Andrew and Helen (Sarna) Bedrin. Mae was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Jerry (a proud member of the US Air Force) and her parents. She is survived by her four children, Gerald J. “Jerry” Rupp II of Beavercreek, John A. Rupp (Dianne) of Centerville, Jeffery S. Rupp (Diane) of Centerville, and Ann M. Hampshire (Jim) of O’Fallon, IL, as well as grandchildren Michael and Lisa Rupp; Jennifer, Christopher, Amanda, and Julie Rupp; Samantha and Jackie Rupp; Joshua and Emily Hampshire; and great-grandchildren Brooklyn and Parker. Mae loved nothing more than spending time with her family; taking pictures, teaching them how to bake or sew, doing kid’s crafts or simply making memories. She loved to spend her time cooking, baking or sewing for those she loved. Mae loved her Polish heritage and kept it alive by cooking traditional Polish foods and listening to Polka music and dancing. She filled our home with love and homemade treats. Mae also had a true green thumb and her garden was always blooming with vibrant, colorful flowers, especially her roses. Mae’s strong Catholic faith and tradition was passed down to her children and grandchildren. She was an active member of St. Helen parish in Dayton, OH, for many years.
