Marilyn [Lynne] Marie Orcutt [nee Belanich] age 87, was in failing health and passed away Tuesday morning June 25th with her husband Jack by her side. She passed under the care of the fantastic NCH Hospital and Hospice nurses in Naples, Florida.
She was born on July 31,1936 in Cleveland, Ohio
She is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Marie Belanich [Milner], father and mother-in-law Jack and Mildred Orcutt, her brother William, her brother James Belanich, her sister Marie Belanich and sister Joanna Garry [Belanich]. Brother-in-law Jack Garry and Sister-in-law Susan Belanich [Chicke]
She is survived by her beloved husband of almost 61 years of marriage Jack R. Orcutt, her brother Joseph Belanich, her brother Michael Belanich and sister-in-laws Suzanne Belanich, Judith Belanich and Karol Orcutt Brunemann, as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Lynne received her education at Villa Maria High School in Villa Maria Pennsylvania and attended St John College Cleveland, Ohio, Ursuline College Pepper Pike, Ohio, Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio.
She followed her dream of helping people, mostly in internal medicine and she served countless patients over the thirty-seven years in her chosen medical profession.
Lynne was said to be a treasure by almost everyone who knew her, she always wore a smile and had a striking ability to make everyone feel special. She loved animals dearly and had many cats, dogs and horses.
Lynne was an avid college football and basketball fan who enthusiastically followed the Northwestern Wildcats, DePaul Blue Demons, Dayton Flyers and Florida Gulf Coast University Eagles. She specially enjoyed the many years of the Northwestern football tailgating and attended many college sporting events.
She was a passionate equestrian and horse owner who was especially fond of her late beloved horse Mandy [Just by Chance]. The two of them traveled the top English saddle indoor and outdoor premier horse shows in the country and won 90% of the championships in her class. There were three Olympic riders who competed by riding her horse.
A book could be written in volumes of her accomplishments and she truly lived a full and exciting life. God put a beautiful person on this earth when he created her. Rest in peace, you will be greatly missed.
A gathering of family and friends for Lynne will be held Monday August 5, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Tobias Funeral Home-Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45429. A mass of christian burial will occur Monday August 5, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Avenue, Centerville, Ohio 45459. A final resting place will occur at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Drive, Dayton, Ohio
