McKiernan, M. Ann, age 81, of Riverside passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. She was born on May 28, 1933 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of the late Homer W., and Emma Sue (Duffield) Gee. She was also preceded in death by her son, James C. McKiernan, Jr., her sister, Olive Greenis and 2 granddaughters,Elissa Marie and Larissa Ann McKiernan. Ann shared 61 years in marriage to her husband, Jim McKiernan, loving him and caring for him devotedly. Ann lovingly raised her four children and cared for her children's spouses, Michael and Lorraine McKiernan, John and Nancy McKiernan, Catherine Sue McKiernan, Lori McKiernan and Carol McKiernan. She was greatly invested in her 8 grandchildren, Jonathan (Terese) McKiernan, Matthew McKiernan, Gillian McKiernan, Jason (Kristie) McKiernan, Sharon (Jason) Briggs, Jessica (Blake) Nelson, John McKiernan, Jr., David (Anisha) McKiernan; and delighted in her 19 great grandchildren. She often reminded them that she "prayed for them daily!" Her kindness has touched countless people because it was extended to everyone she met-stranger or friend. She had love and enjoyment for many things; tea parties, James Herriot books, cottages, Celtic music, hymns, her church, and visits from loved ones. But she was most of all marked by her love for Jesus Christ. She was faithful to the end-not because she was without sin or perfect, but because she had an unshakable hope in a sinless and perfect Savior. In every trial her hope was steadfast in Christ. Even in her old age, she was humble, teachable, forgiving, gracious and showed the meaning of unconditional love to her family. Her single-minded desire was that they would know Christ and share her hope and faith in Him. And now she is with her loving Savior and will be for all eternity-all hopes fulfilled! That is something to celebrate, even as we grieve the loss of the precious and dear woman we've cherished all these years!
