Margaret Ann (Peters) Lutz, “Peggy” age 84 passed away peacefully on April 25, 2022. She was born at home on Hedges Street in East Dayton on October 1, 1937 to Paul and Theresa (Muhlenkamp) Peters. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, Paul F. Lutz of Centerville OH.
Peggy was a member of the Julienne High School Class of 1955 and a proud graduate of the St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1958. Over the years, she was a member of St. Mary’s, Holy Family, St. Luke’s and St. Leonard’s parishes. She was the mother of five daughters, one son and a foster son; Theresa Lutz and husband Duke Donovan of Lake Alfred, FL, Barbara (Lutz) and Philip H. Hart of Topton, NC, Caroline Lutz of Fripp Island, SC who preceded her in death, Janet (Lutz) and Rich Burr of Maineville, OH, Laura (Lutz) and Michael Speed of Springdale, OH, Paul J. Lutz of Worthington, OH and Manolis and Sophia Periclakes of Glyfada, Greece. Peggy was the proud grandmother of six beautiful grandchildren Christina Lutz, Kathryn and James Speed, Philip Jesse Hart, and Tania and Tricia Aho. She was a sister to Paul T. (Cheryl) Peters, the late William Peters and Jane (Mark) Curtis, sister-in-law to her husband’s large and loving family, and devoted aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and genealogy and was active in Girl Scouts as a leader, cookie captain and camp nurse. In her later years she delighted in watching birds on her feeders. She loved to cheer on the Cincinnati Reds and University of Dayton Flyers basketball with her beloved husband, Paul. A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on May 14 at St. Leonard Chapel immediately followed by a celebration of life at The Station House restaurant, on the St. Leonard campus, Clyo Road, Centerville, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peggy’s memory to The Pheo Para Alliance (www.pheopara.org) or the Hospice of Dayton Foundation (www.hospiceofdayton.org).
