Luna Stacia Gonzalez passed away peacefully in the arms of her parents on October 17, 2018. She was born on September 11, 2017 in Beavercreek, Ohio. During her short time on Earth, Luna bravely fought leukemia and was blessed to receive a bone marrow transplant. She was a happy little girl and made everyone around her smile. She will be greatly missed, but her family is confident that she is safe and healed in Heaven.
She is deeply loved by her parents, Victor and Stacia Gonzalez; sister Jasmine; brother Gabriel, and dog Chewy, of Fairborn, Ohio. She is also survived by her grandparents, Perry and Vickie Hall of Williamstown, West Virginia; and Lucio Gonzalez and Nelida Gaona de Gonzalez of Limpio, Paraguay. Many aunts, uncles and cousins will also deeply miss her.
The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the staffs of Dayton Children’s Hospital and Nationwide Children’s Hospital for the excellent care they provided Luna during her fight with leukemia.
A funeral service will be held for Luna at 10:30 am on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at University Baptist Church, 2223 Hanes Rd. in Beavercreek. The family will greet family and friends the night prior on Monday, October 22, 2018, from 4 to 7 pm at University Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Dayton Children’s Oncology Child Life Department or to Be the Match (bone marrow registry), at bethematch.org or 500 N Fifth St Minneapolis, MN 55401-1206, in memory of Luna.
