Larry T. Schulte Sr., 68, of Dayton, Ohio, lost his battle with cancer on Monday, June 20, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Dorothy Schulte, and sisters Charmaine (Wiley), Mary Esther (Anderson), and Ann (Norris).
Larry is survived by his loving and devoted companion and wife of over 50 years, Debra, his sons, Larry
Jr. (wife Julie), and Aaron (wife Erin), grandchildren Alyssa (Smith), Brittany (Elsass), Bryanna, Kaleb and
Kaden, and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Isaac and Ella, three brothers, two sisters, and numerous nieces
and nephews, all of whom he maintained personal relationships with. Larry retired from Metallurgical Services Inc. after 26 years of service. Larry enjoyed staying busy working in the garage, fishing and in recent years working with his son, helping him to develop his construction business. It would be a rare occasion, if at all, to see Larry not adorned in Schulte Construction apparel.
Larry loved his family endlessly and was especially proud of his grand-children and great grand-children.
He treasured the small property he spent time at in Morehead, Ky., where he could go relax in peace
and get away from the rush and exhaustion of the city. Whether it was a small appliance that needed to be repaired, a lawn that needed mowed, or a meal to share, no matter the need, if help was needed Larry was there to offer. He made a friend everywhere he went, and to him, friends were like family and family was gold. Our lives are forever better for having known him and our hearts are heavier for having lost him.
A visitation will take place on Monday, June 27, 2022 from 5pm until 8pm at Tobias Funeral Home- Belmont. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 10am at the funeral home. Larry's final resting place will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
