John J. Twarek II

TWAREK, John J., II, age 58 of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents John R. and Sharon Twarek. He is survived by his wife of 24 years Jennifer Twarek, brothers Joe (Wanda), Rocky (Lori) and Jim (Melissa), sisters-in-law Rita (Paul) Carfang and Roberta (Curt) Hooper, brother-in-law Jonathan Nadrowski, numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. John was a 1982 graduate of Carroll High School and graduated from Wright State University with a B.A. in Sociology. He had worked in childcare at WPAFB and Mini University. John enjoyed sports and played soccer while he was at Carroll. His teams were Notre Dame, the Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Lions and the Red Wings. John was an avid gardener who loved Snoopy and Hawaii. Going to hear his brother Rocky’s band, Wildcat Road, was one his favorite things to do. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 20, 2021 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 5100 Burkhardt Rd., Riverside. Fr. Anthony Geraci celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 19 at the Tobias Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. The family encourages those attending to wear anything Notre Dame themed in memory of John. www.tobiasfuneralhome.com
