COOPER, Joel W. age 57 of Dayton, OH passed away Saturday August 13, 2011 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was preceded in death by his Father, Leslie R. Cooper, Jr. He is survived by his Mother, Ruth Cooper; Lifetime companion, Colleen Miracle; Sisters, Amy (Doug) Meeks and Eudora (Tom Schiff) Berry; Brothers, Ted Cooper and David (Rich Kurtenbach) Cooper; Beloved lifetime companion’s family, Tonia Miracle, Christopher Miracle, Jason (Shannon) Siverling, Karla Huffman, Jade, Alora, Alana and Blaine; Beloved nieces and nephews, Karah (Dawson) Meeks-Ulrich, Blake (Laci) Meeks, Teddy (Lindsey) Cooper, Lauren (Vanni Bucci) Berry, Lindsey (Shaun) Cooper, Brett Meeks, Whitney Berry, Sydney Schiff and Joel Schiff; Beloved great nieces and nephews, Harrisen, Anderson and Leighton Ulrich, Tristan, Anna and Jolie Meeks, Luca Bucci, and Austin and Elin (Cooper); and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Loving Friends. Joel was a graduate of Wright State University, holding both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree. He retired from W.P.A.F.B. in 2005 as Senior Systems Engineer/ Avionics Engineer Chief Scientist. Joel was currently employed at MacAulay-Brown, Inc. He had a total combined 30 years of service working for the United States Air Force. Over his career he received 21 Unique Achievement Awards. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. His family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment in Woodland Cemetery.
