Joanne Bates Inskeep, born January 21, 1932, in Norwood, Ohio, to Martin Van Buren Bates and Helen Ruth Kanzleiter Bates. Joanne went Home to be with her Lord on January 28, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. Joanne graduated from Russellville High School in May, 1949 and she married Wendell F. Inskeep (Skip) on November 24, 1949 (65 years of marriage) in the Norwood Christian Church. Joanne and Wendell had four children born to them. A daughter was born and died August 12, 1950, Deborah Lynn Inskeep born April 22, 1953 and died in an auto accident on October 20, 1969. Their only son, David Byron Inskeep, was born on July 22, 1956 and married Gwen Mudder in 1982. They had three sons: Jason Michael Inskeep, who is a Major in the U.S.Army. He married Nicky Yerbich, who is a Captain in the Kansas National Guard and they have two adorable daughters: Kjersten and Kylee Inskeep. Joel David Inskeep, their second son, married Chelsea Marie Frieden, and they have two sons, Lucas Inskeep and Eli Inskeep. Their third son was Jonathan Martin Inskeep, born January 30, 1986 and died April 19, 2011. Suellen Inskeep, their most loving and devoted third daughter, was born on September 12, 1961, and she married John Warren in 1989, and they have one son, Jamison Delaney Warren. Joanne is also survived by one great-grandson, Nathan Warren. She is also survived by one special cousin, Rita Schweikhart and many other cousins. Joanne was predeceased by her parents and two of her daughters. Joanne was one of the sweetest and most loving individuals and she was loved by all who knew her. Joanne was a super, super fine lady and was also known as one of the very best cooks around. Joanne and Skip enjoyed many vacations together traveling all over the United States and Hawaii and several cruises to the Caribbean and to Alaska. In 1972, they took an 18 day tour of the Holy Land and other countries and Suellen went with them on that trip. Joanne was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Temple for over 60 years. Viewing will be Monday evening; February 2, 2015 at Cornerstone Baptist Temple from 4-7 PM. Services will be 10 AM Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Cornerstone Baptist Temple with Dr. Jerry Siler officiating. Interment will be in the Linwood Cemetery, Russellville, Ohio.
