Rodeghero, Dr. James A. “Rod” Born in Lockport, IL to John and Ruth Rodeghero on August 24th, 1925. As a high school graduate he enlisted in the US Navy to become a Naval pilot. After WWII, he attended St. Louis University, where he received his doctorate of medicine and served his internship at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He served as Chief of Staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital and Kettering Memorial Hospital. He was a teaching professor at Wright State School of Medicine while having a family practice for almost fifty years.
Hobbies included flying and building ultralights, traveling, water sports at Lake Cherokee, and spending time with family. Preceding him in death, parents, his first wife Theresa Rodeghero, brothers Jack and Donald, and sister Mary Lou Saviskas. He is survived by present wife Margaret (Johnson) Rodeghero. His children, James Rodeghero Jr. Ph.D. (Sara), Paul Rodeghero DDS (Ginger), Gwen Frericks, Thomas Rodeghero (Nancy), sister Patty Diemer, ten Grandchildren: Dan, Matt, Theresa, Patty, Kim, Chrissy, T.J., Amy, Andrew, Sarah, nine Great Grandchildren: Ayva, Josh, Christian, Peyton, Maddie, Luke, Jacob, Amelia, Adeline, and his faithful companion Hannah (beagle). Thanks to great neighbors and friends who have helped and supported us. The family will receive visitors Friday, December 7th, 2018 at 9:00AM, Emmanuel Catholic Church, 149 Franklin St, Dayton, OH 45402, Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00AM.
