Watson, Genevieve A. (nee Amidei), age 92, of Beavercreek, OH and formerly of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at The Hospice of Dayton. Survivors include her sons, Bob (Beth) Watson of Beavercreek, OH, and Tom (Linda) Watson of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Max (Dina), Genna, Brianna and Eric Watson and a brother Frank (Norma) Amidei. Genevieve was a loving mother and grandmother. She was an avid reader, loved cooking, and enjoyed working crossword and Sudoku puzzles every day. She was a graduate of North Judson High School and South Bend College of Commerce in Indiana. She worked many years for Indiana state government and served as Governor Henry F. Schricker’s personal secretary at the State Capitol for his two terms in office. For many years she was a volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul Society in Indianapolis and the Beavercreek Senior Center in Beavercreek, OH, where she moved in 2001. She was presented the 2009 Leadership Award from the Greene County Council on Aging for her valuable contributions to the Beavercreek Senior Center. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Indianapolis for 51 years and St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church in Beavercreek, OH, for the past 12 years. The family will receive visitors at Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH, on Friday, September 14, 2012, from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Indianapolis, IN at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012, followed by burial at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Our Lady garden) in Indianapolis. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Beavercreek (OH) Senior Center or St. Vincent de Paul Society Memorial Program, P.O. Box 19133, Indianapolis, IN, 46219.
