Elwood Smith

Elwood Smith, 82, of Beavercreek, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Trinity Community. He was born in West Liberty, KY, one of 12 children, to Hazel and Ruby Smith. He is preceded in death by his sons, Wayne Smith, Bobby Smith, and Gregory Smith and his wife, Ruth Smith, in January of 2018. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Sean and Jackie Smith of Beavercreek Twp, grandchildren; Patrick (Christina) Smith of W. Liberty, KY, Lacey (Rob) Everette of Wilmington, OH, Lauren (Brian) Hollbrook of KY, Brittany (Brady) Peterson of Beavercreek, Cody (Nichole) Smith of Beavercreek, Sarah Smith of KY, Sydney Smith of Beavercreek, great grandchildren; Carter Petersen, Cooper Petersen, Tate Everette, Emily Prater, Ethan Prater, Karsyn Prater, Kynlee Prater, Kaston Prater, Ellie Prater, Devin Taulbee, Kennedi Taulbee, McKenna Smith, and Brayden Smith. Elwood was a dedicated Christian who loved his Lord and Savior; he loved his grandchildren with all his heart. Family will receive friends at the Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. from 6-8 PM Monday, October 15, 2018. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 16 at 11 AM at the Northridge Freewill Baptist Church, 4800 Payne Ave. Dayton, Ohio. Interment will follow in Byron Cemetery.
