Elizabeth "Libby" Burnett

Elizabeth “Libby” Burnett, age 93, of Centerville, born on June 28th, 1925, passed away at Trinity Community Health on Wed., August 15th, 2018 in Beavercreek where dedicated staff cared for her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eva & Cliff Burnett; Brother, Horace and sister, Ruth Smart. Libby graduated from Waynesville High School and retired from NCR where she was a member of The NCR Country Club. She loved “Millie” her cat, birds, animals and working in her flower garden. Libby was a longtime member of Central Christian Church where she was involved with The Faithful Chancel and Bell Choirs and was a pianist for weddings, receptions and anniversaries. She was also a member of The Daytona Chorale and other musical related chorus groups. Libby was a volunteer WDPR member of The Beavercreek Wetlands Foundation, The Ohio Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, The Cox Arboretum Foundation and The Dayton Philharmonic. Funeral Service will be held at 12pm on Wed. August 22nd, 2018 at Tobias Funeral Home, Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, Ohio with Reverend Dr. Ivan Green officiating, burial to immediately follow at Miami Cemetery in Corwin. Visitation will be from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Libby’s memory to Central Christian Church, 1200 Forrer Blvd, Dayton, OH 45420.
