Debra (Debi) Sue Perry, 67, of Chesterfield, Virginia, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday October 20, 2021. She was able to have important conversations with each and every person she loved after braving a fifteen-month long battle with cancer.
Born in Little Rock, Arkansas on November 11, 1953, she was the daughter of William Parker Perry and Sue Ann (Ringo) Perry who preceded her in passing. She will be deeply missed by her two loving children Casey (William) Slack of Bellbrook, Ohio and Matthew (Valerie) Feiling of Lyman, South Carolina; her three grandchildren Scarlett Everly, Maxwell Jameson, and Ridley Quinn Slack; sister Karen Perry (Mike) Scott of Nashville Indiana; “Uncle John” Perry of Little Rock, Arkansas; best friend Lisa Sargent of Chesterfield, Virginia and her godchildren Carmen and Tayeb Tergou.
Debi was a graduate of the Class of 1972 of North Little Rock High School as well as a student at University of Central Arkansas. After serving as an office manager for almost 14 years at Virginia Family Dentistry (Chester, Virginia), Debi retired in 2019. She enjoyed her time in the dental office and made many friends. She was recognized as being extremely gifted for her creativity and excelled at most crafts. Well-known for her incredible ability in event-planning and gift-giving, she also enjoyed scrapbooking and holiday decorating. Debi was an avid fan of both Clemson and Virginia Tech football and rarely missed watching games. Most importantly, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and godmother and would move mountains to care for them. Her family will forever cherish their time enjoying kid hot chocolates (1 pump mocha, 1 pump peppermint syrup), country cooking, and beach vacations with her.
A private family graveside service will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Park located at 7401 HIGHWAY 5 N, Alexander, AR 72002 on Saturday October 30, 2021 at 10AM.
