David E. Williams, 74 of Dayton went to Heaven on March 10, 2022. He was met by his beloved wife of 29 years, Darlene Williams, his grandparents Charles Sr. and Anna Belle Price. Parents Orbin and Helen Williams, his sister Debbie Simmons, niece Lesa Dever, Special Uncle Charles Price Jr. and his wife Sue, father in law Wash Miller, and brother in law Terry Dixon.
He is survived by his precious daughters, Ashley (Matt) Bir and Alicia Williams (Cody) who were his whole world. Also surviving are his sister Phyllis Dever (Lee) and his brothers, Steve (Debbie) Williams, and Rick (Dee) Williams. His 1st and special Niece Sheri, along with Lisa, Tina, Jennifer, Sarah, Lacy, and Kaitlyn, Nephews Bill, Robert, Kevin, Stevie, Dempsey, Bradley and Ryan. Mother in Law Charlene Miller, his Sister in Laws, Linda Barnett, Betty Dixon (Terry) and Barbara Hasty. Along with them are many great nieces, great nephews, and cousins to keep his memory alive.
For most of his life, Dave laid carpet and tile around the Dayton area. Dave, however was most proud of the 4 years he spent as a MP in the US Army. He served from 1967 to 1971. He enjoyed many activities such as bowling, fishing, basketball, and, of course, THE Ohio State Buckeyes.
Dave was the Patriarch of our family. He was the one who could fix anything for anyone. You could count on him for a good laugh or a good cry. He was our family's historian. He could tell you about anyone at any time.
Dave, on the important days in our life - and on the regular ones too - you will always be on our minds!!
The family will receive friends on Monday March 21, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm at the Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio. Also from 10am to 11am on Tuesday March 22nd. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am. with Pastor Mark Long officiating.
