Daniel J. Thompson, age 67, passed away September 15, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett & Muriel (Thompson) Thompson; brother Guy Thompson; sisters, Elizabeth Cardenia & Robin Brady and mother-in-law, Mae Neace. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Karen (Kat) Thompson; son Wesley (Jessica) Neace and granddaughter Lilliana Stonerock. Also surviving are father-in-law, Charley A. Neace, Sr.; sisters-in-law Kathleen Brost, Pamela Neff and Loree Thompson; brothers-in-law Charley (Elizabeth) Neace & Joseph Cardenia; nieces, Amy (Josh) Turner, Megen Brady, Hayley Mosley, Teresa (Kevin) Low and Kimberly Neff; nephews, Jason Thompson ,Taylor Neace and Steven Brittingham; great-nieces, Casey & Alexa Low , Becca & Ella Turner, Alexia Jones, Ally Wright and great-nephews, Trent Holbrook, Jadyn Kellner, Carson Turner and Austin & Aiden Wright. Dan was a retired truck driver, he made many friends along the way and was loved by all. Dan never met a dog he didn’t pet. He spent the last 10 years as a volunteer at the Pet Advocate League and Nomad Unit, helping Dr. Laura Miller care for all of the furry friends he loved. His love for animals included his two dogs, Agnes & Ike, and his kitties. The family would like to give a special thank you to Teresa, Casey, Pamela, and especially to his nurse Jolene. Dan wanted to have a celebration of his life where his friends gather together telling "Dan" stories and listening to bluegrass and country music. We will miss him dearly! A memorial service will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Pet Advocate League of Dayton, P.O.
