Dale was my uncle and I loved him with all my heart. I can't think of not calling an him answering the phone . I would say how are you an him say sick in bed..LOL or I would say what are you doing and him say talking to you...LOL

I am very sorry to hear about Dale. I enjoyed and learned alot from him when he hired me as a teenager to work at Medway Rd for Hilltop. Because of Dale, I have been in the business for over 41 years now. I will always remember that in the fall of the year, he would greet us before work with a jug of apple cider to get us started.

To Jean, Sherry, Gale and Dale my deepest condolences and sympathy to you all. I felt very close to your father and husband. We shared a little office and looked across our desks at each other from the winter of 1973 until the day he retired decades later. We shared our stories day in and day out. We talking about our kids our wives our friends, our hopes, our dreams, our military service, our lives, business, politics and so many things over so many years. We became so very close. We got to know each so well that we generally knew what each was thinking before the other person said it.
  I remember the night Santa Claus showed up at our home. It was so wonderful that he stopped by our house. I even remember driving Santa Claus down to Cincinnati one year so he could pay a surprise visit to the people in the Hilltop Office. They felt honored as they said later as Santa Claus didn't make any other personal vists to a business in Cincinnati that winter only to them. Wow!
 There are so many stories and so many events. Know that Dale has touched many people and many lives over the years and has set fine Christian examples for others to follow in life.
  It was a great privilege to be counted as your friend Dale and to count you as one the best friends a person could have in life. I've attached a little photo from our past which I think sums up the moment. I'd title it: “Flowers and a Toast to you Dale”  God Bless, You and Your Family.

Dear Jean,Sherry,Dale and Gail, was so sorry to hear of Dale's passing. Dale will be terribly missed. Our family also was very touched by Dale's love of the magic of the Christmas. 
Every year he took the time to come and gather our list, it was due to special people like Dale that gave us as adults a memory that has stayed with us all those years. along with many other wonderful memories we have of being a great neighbor. Love the West family.

 So sorry to hear of Dale's passing. Jean and "Humphrey" have been such good friends to our parents through so many years. Our families had so many fun times as we were growing up...a lot of great memories.  He was a wonderful, thoughtful man and he will be missed.  You all have my deepest sympathy.  I will not be able to attend the service, but please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dale has meant so much to the family of Ron and Rose Mary Brookey, and their children, Kay, Julie, Mark and Lisa. My father, Ron, met Dale on a transport boat to the Korean War, a grueling trip followed by frontline combat duty. A lifelong friendship was born from those shared experiences. From card parties with all of us kids pounding on the piano, to Dale playing Santa Claus for us Brookey kids (best ever with his twinkling blue eyes!), to teasing Rose Mary and raving about her delicious fruit pies, to his laughter and camaraderie with Mark at Hilltop, to recent phone calls Dale shared with Ron in maintaining a great friendship into their 80's ...we feel very fortunate and blessed to have known Dale. You're in our thoughts and prayers Jean, Sherry, Gale and Dale.

Dale, was very special man, so giving, caring and thoughtful, and a great cousin he was too.No one could compare to him, he was definitely one of a kind.  He always had a smile on his face and made you feel special, We shared a lot of stories and so many laughs with him. He was a big part of our family through the years and the loss we feel cannot be put into words.  The memories we shared with him will live on in our lives forever. Dear Jean and Family,
I loved Dale.  I have 59 years of memories of you and Dale and my mom and Dad.  The laughs, the food (always the best pepperoni Dale could find), the card games, Dale's latest adventure, whether gardening, feeding the squirrels, or searching sales for that one special antique he had to have.  And his love for life did not end there.  Halloween...his fabulous decorations and special affects including laying on the roof and scaring everyone who approached the front door.  And then there was Christmas...Santa standing in my front window perfectly still waiting for me patiently to notice his larger than life image perfectly dressed including his large brass belt buckle. His simple wave and I freaked out running through the house!  And it didn't end there, Santa would also call me because he had heard that I had done something wrong! I know he loved every minute and laughed later calling my Mom and Dad with his side of the story! He even shared Santa with my kids which I will never forget.  I know Mom was there to greet Dale and she is still probably talking...
I was so glad to see Dale and Jean at my mom's funeral and thank Gale for bringing them.  It meant so much to Dad and me. I love you all so much for being a part of my family.  It is not often that friends in high school stay as close as our dads have all these years.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  God Bless You! Dad, Den and I will be at the service on Wednesday.

So very sorry to hear of Dale's passing.  All of the memories I have of him are full of laughter and good times.  He was a very special man who had a very big heart.   He will surely make Heaven an even greater place.

Dear Gale and Family, 
    Just wanted to let you know that unfortunately we cannot be there for you and your family; however, please know that you all are in our prayers and you have our heartfelt sympathy.  Less than a year ago....been there, done that.  It surely leaves a big hole in your heart, but with time, all the precious memories you have, and knowing your dad is healed and with the Lord, the hole gets a little smaller each passing day.  Knowing my mom she greeted him in Heaven as soon as he got there....she was like that, you know.  Dad and Debbie are going to try to make it on Wednesday,  I sure hope they can.  All our Love and don't be afraid to lean on the Lord.....He helped me tremendously.

Dale was one of the most kindest and loving men I ever knew. Everyone that knew him loved him. We will all miss his humor, his loving ways and his positive look on life!   All that knew him could tell so many great stories... that's just how he was....he made everybody feel special....he just had that special gift.
