Daisy Ruth Hampton

Hampton, Daisy Ruth, age 97, of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 17, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Hampton, on February 1, 2010, her sister, Estelle McPhearson and a brother, George Helsley. Daisy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Connie Hampton, of Beavercreek; her daughter and son-in-law, Hilda and Wayne Witemeyer, of Abeline, TX; two sisters, Helen Hensley, of San Angelo, TX and Martha (Charlie) Rogers, of Marietta, GA; 6 grandchildren, Ami (Mike) Gutwein, Joe (Christine) Hampton, Cindy (Bret) Teller, Wes (Karen) Witemeyer, Chad (Leslie) Witemeyer, Emily Witemeyer; great grandchildren, Alison and Jake Gutwein, Carson and Connor Hampton, Heather and Amber Teller, Bethany, Peter, Wyatt, Lily Elliott and Conner Witemeyer. Daisy was retired from First National Bank of Dayton after many years of service. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, having attended Belmont Church of Christ for 65 years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Daisy’s caregiver, Cheryl Penny and her special neighbor, Rick Cropper. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at the Belmont Church of Christ, 3003 South Smithville Road with Tom Marcum, Minister officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
