Charles W. Blake, “Charlie age 84 of Centerville and formerly of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully with his wife at his side Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Viola Blake, a grandson, Ryan Henderson and a brother, Tommy Blake. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Nancy Blake. His children also survive him: Debbie Brooks (Greg), Sharon Henderson (Wayne), Karen Blake (Andy) and Julie Blake, as do three granddaughters: Amber Olds (Zack), Alisa Brooks, Jennifer Miller and a grandson, Ronnie Miller (Jessie). He is also survived by his great-grandchildren; Charlie, Evie, Gracie and Waylon, his sisters, Shirley Holsopple (Ron) and Connie Pouder and a brother, George Blake (Gladys). A 1949 graduate of Beavercreek High School, Charles was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He founded Blake Heating and Air in 1967, serving primarily the Beavercreek community. He loved all sports but was an especially avid Cincinnati Reds fan. He was also a member of the K of P Silver Star Lodge and Thunderbirds Club of Southwest Ohio. A very special thank- you from our family to Joe Delaney, his caretaker of the last three years, and to Hospice of Dayton for their loving care and support. Friends may call on the family at the Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 10AM until 12PM. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM Friday. Interment will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Charlie’s memory.
