She was the daughter of Elmer and Cora Shields. She graduated from Vandalia Butler High School.
Carolyn had four children: Kathy, Cheryl, William, and Mark. She also had ten grandchildren: Amie, Daniel, Michael, Brian, Eric, Billy, Taryn, Mason, Mia and Madison. Eight great grandchildren: Ryan, Gabe, Joshua, Mason, Sheyenne, Melanie, Isabella, and Makayla.
Carolyn was a proud RTA bus driver while being a single mom of four children. She loved shopping and had quite a collection of dolls. She liked watching The Young and the Restless. Carolyn was also known to have a huge sweet tooth and would have probably lived on cakes and candy if possible. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and loved ones. She will be missed, but is definitely resting in a better place now.
A visitation will be held at Tobias Funeral Home in Beavercreek on Monday December 9th at 10am, with a service to follow at 11am.
