Barbara Smith

Barbara Dague Smith, born in Dayton, Ohio July 29, 1949 passed away at her home surrounded by her family on September 12, 2024, at the age of 75. A beloved wife, mother, daughter,sister, aunt and friend. Barbara’s life was filled with love, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to her family and friends.

Married May 03, 1969 to David T. (Smitty) Smith. Their enduring bond was a testament to love and partnership. Together, they created a beautiful life, raising three children. Barbara is survived by her bossy daughter Jennifer, adoring granddaughters Baylee and Kylee and her extremely handsome son Dale (Laura), strapping grandsons Joshua, Caleb, Micah, Isaac and newest granddaughter Olive Grace, all of whom will continue to carry her spirit forward. Barbara was preceded in death by her father Forrest Dague, her mother Lorene Dague and her brother Stanley Dague and her beloved daughter, Nicole Marie Smith, whom she held close in her heart each day.

Barbara was known for her kindness, her beautiful smile, hospitable spirit, and generosity, traits that touched the lives of all who knew her. Her welcoming presence will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

We will honor Barbara’s life on September 21, 2024 at Tobias funeral home Beavercreek, Ohio with visitation from 11:00 to 1:00 followed by a Service/celebration of life at 1:00. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to www.OhiosHospice.org in mom's memory.

Barbara’s legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
