Annie “Faye” Kelley Dunnigan, age 86, of Beavercreek, passed away February 22, 2022. Faye was born in a log cabin on a snowy day, December 12, 1935 in Lee County, Blanton, Alabama, to the late Amos and Ruth (Burks) Kelley.
Faye was preceded in death by her sister Agnes (Kelley) Petrey of Foley, Alabama and brother Graves Kelley of Valley, Alabama.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Richard “Tom” Dunnigan. Her children, Debi (Karl) Heidrich, Dan (Lori) Dunnigan, Susan Dunnigan, and Marti Barnhart. Grandchildren Jessica (Rich) Boyd, David (Jennifer) Heidrich, Kelley Dunnigan, Mallory Barnhart, Allison Barnhart, Brooke Dunnigan and Macy Dunnigan. Great grandchildren Emmaline Boyd, August Boyd; and soon to be baby Heidrich. Her sister Ouida (Kelley) Ingram of Opelika, Alabama and numerous nieces and nephews.
Faye met Tom in 1958 while she was working in Montgomery, Alabama and he was stationed at Ft Benning, Georgia. She moved to Dayton, Ohio in May 1959 and they married July 18, 1959.
She worked for many years as a typesetter at the Beavercreek Newspaper and then after retirement worked part-time at Kohls in Beavercreek for 18 years.
Faye enjoyed reading, water aerobics, snacking on popcorn in the evenings and spending time at Gulf Shores, Alabama.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be forever loved and missed.
A visitation will be held from 9:00AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial 10:00AM Thursday, March 3, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 411 E. 2nd St. Dayton, Ohio.
Interment will be at St Paul’s Catholic Cemetery, E. Yellow Springs-Fairfield Road, Yellow Springs, Ohio.
