Andrea Lee Brockman

Andrea L. Brockman of Dayton, Ohio (age 69) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 in Tampa with her sister by her side. She was preceded in death by her father Andrew, mother Florence, brother David, sister-in-law Jane and Sister-in-law Sharon. She is survived by her siblings, Dennis (Becky) Brockman, Steven Brockman, Sheila (Greg) Willhoite, Victor (Pamela) Brockman and Annette Brockman/ David Williams. 7 nieces/nephews and 12 great nieces/nephews.

Andrea was born in Dayton, Ohio February 3, 1955. She attended Alter H.S. and graduated from Wright State University with Degrees in Chemistry and Biology. She spent much of her career at Cargill climbing the corporate ladder and traveling the World while training executives in her specialty of Quality Control. She also worked for Mead Johnson Nutritionals in Evansville, Indiana, but her love of Dayton and family brought her back so she could care for her aging Father.

When Andrea was not caring for others, she loved hiking with the Dayton Hiking Club, Volunteering at Owens Place (building playgrounds for disabled children) and Fitness. She could spend 4+ hours a day between walking, roller blading, yard work and fitness classes!

Her true heart was with children, her eyes would light up in their presence and she would do anything for them. She will be truly missed by all and will be remembered for having the biggest heart of gold.

A visitation for Andrea will be held Friday, June 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45429, with the funeral service at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Drive, Dayton, Ohio 45409. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
