The world lost a woman who was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Phyllis Moreland, aka “Granny”, who was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on February 13, 1941, passed peacefully in her sleep at The Gulf Coast Memory Care Home on December 10th, 2024.
Phyllis survived her husband Mickey as well as her son Michael. She will be dearly missed by her daughter Linda & son in-law David, her son David & daughter in-law Laura, her grandchildren Dallas & wife Emma, David & wife Shari, Cody & fiancee Chrystal, Cole, Josie, Angie, and Michael as well as her great grandchildren Carson and Rylee.
Phyllis battled dementia for many years, but it never stopped her from lighting up with a smile at the sight of those who love her.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the incredible staff at Gulf Coast Memory Care, Estero, Florida, who tirelessly cared for our beloved “Granny” when we were unable to. She developed deep and caring relationships with the staff and was very comfortable in their care.
Family and friends are invited to say a final goodbye to Phyllis (Granny) at The Bridge Church, 9300 Pembroke Road, Miramar, Florida on January 25th, 2025 at 11:00 am.
