Lynta M Huff

(January 1, 1940 - August 25, 2024)

Lynta (Lynn) Marie Huff of Centreville, Maryland peacefully passed away on August 25, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Pennsylvania before making Maryland her permanent home. She also resided in the Florida Keys enjoying island life for several years with her husband and children. Daughter of the late Nathanial and Christina Cowan. She was preceded in death by her husband John Raymond Huff (Jack) and 4 siblings, Nathanial Cowan, Shirley Williams, Christina Schott, Constance Watson. She is survived by her sisters Mary Donn, Florence Norris and Martha Westman and her brother Jim Cowan. Lynn is survived by her daughter Gina Ward and son-in-law Terry, and her son Kevin Huff and daughter-in-law Alyssa. Her beloved grandchildren, Bryson Barksdale and his fiancé Ashley King, Brandon Barksdale, Marissa Huff, Karter Huff, Mila Huff, Kira Hermey and her husband Caleb, Kai Ward and his wife Emily, great-granddaughters Hazel Hermey and Ellie Ward, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.

Lynn loved children; she was a caregiver for many years including for her own grandchildren. She was kind to all, loved with all of her heart, always ready to lend a helping hand and most of all loved her family more than anything. She loved old cars, oldies music, Shag Dancing with her late husband, baking, shopping and traveling with her sisters, doing puzzles, reading, crocheting, spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She was very loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Services will be held at 11:00am on September 12, 2024 at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 W Central Ave, Davidsonville, MD 21035.
