Wilma Jean Eastin, 88, of Davenport, died Monday, December 5, 2011 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Funeral services will be Friday, December 9, 2011 at 11:30 am at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 pm at the mortuary.
Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Online condolences may be left at www.therungemortuary.com
Wilma was born January 8, 1923 in Yakima, WA; the daughter of George A. and Ezette (Tomlinson) Kellett. She was united in marriage to Richard Hall of Davenport on June 18, 1944 in Seattle, WA; to that union were born five children: Robert, Barbara, Don, Ken and Larry. They divorced after twenty years of marriage. She then married Wesley B. Eastin in August 1965 and to that union was born a daughter, Georgia; he preceded her in death on March 27, 1994.
Wilma worked in inventory management in the chemical/nuclear department for the Rock Island Arsenal prior to her retirement on January 2, 1988. She was a member of AARP, NARFE and in later years, enjoyed going on cruises with her daughter, Barb.
Those left to honor her memory include her children: Robert Hall, Rock Island, IL; Barbara (Hall) James, Bettendorf; Don (Hall) Eastin, Wheatland, IA;, Ken (Hall) Eastin, Georgia; Larry (Hall) Eastin, Davenport and Georgia (Eastin) Boswell, Oakdale, IA; 25 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; niece, Lynne Johnson, Ariz. and several cousins. Her parents, son, Daniel Patterson and a sister Grace preceded her in death.
