Visitation will be held on Monday, March 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary. Following visitation, a graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery by 1:30 p.m. if wanting to attend. Wilma was born July 1, 1935, to John and Idala (Washburn) Canida in Keokuk, IA. On October 20. She married the love of her life, Gerald D. Davis. She worked for over 20 years as a cabinet maker at Brammer Manufacturing before finally retiring.
Wilma loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, gardening and canning. She also liked to crochet. More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Carol Schmidt, PA, Diana (Melvin) Hintze, Calamus, IA, Sharon (Richard) Weiland, Davenport, IA, and Norma (Marty) Albert, Davenport, IA; sons, Johnny (Debi) Davis, Buffalo, IA, and Randy (Deb) Davis, Muscatine, IA; sister-in-law, Calleen Hesseltine, Davenport, IA; brother-in-law, Al Davis, Iconium, IA; along with 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, with one more on the way; and her beloved, faithful but complicated cat, Dillon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald; son, William; son-in-law, Terry Schmidt; and siblings: Betty, Vera, Barbara, Margaret, Henry, and Richard.
