Virginia M. Garlock

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 12pm at The Runge Mortuary with visitation starting at 10:30am until the service. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Buffalo. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.

She was born January 31, 1937 in Davenport to Henry A. and Ella V. (Schroder) Strohbehn. Virginia was united in marriage to Richard Garlock on June 23, 1964 in Rock Island; he preceded her in death on December 1, 2007.

She served breakfast for the Buffalo School District, she later worked at Generations at the senior meal site and retired from Clark’s Landing in Buffalo after working for over 30 years. She also loved gardening, canning everything from her garden, feeding her birds and making pumpkin bars and pickles that were enjoyed by all.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Otto (Brenda) Garlock, Las Vegas; Pam (Tom) Harland, Davenport; Julie (Tom) Nartker, Las Vegas and Rich Garlock, Buffalo; grandchildren: Ashley, Danielle, Tiffany, Brandi, Jason, Aidan and Teagan; great grandchildren: Kaylynn, Kade, Kolby, Korbin, Ella and Morgaine; siblings: Lois Puck, Davenport and Evelyn Hutchison, Buffalo. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard; brothers: Harold, Walt, Louie, Lester and Warren and sisters: Helen, Dorothy and Viola.
