Steven James Hicks

Steve attended Davenport Schools and graduated from the University of Phoenix with a degree in computer science, IT. He was united in marriage to Rachel in 2013. Steve attended Hillcrest Church, Davenport and was an IT Tech before his diabetes consumed his health.

Steve had a love for baseball. In his youth, he played in many different leagues and even became an umpire. He had a close friend in baseball, Mike Campbell, who became his coach, mentor, & father-figure. He was a devoted Cardinal fan until his babysitters, Janet and Margarette, changed him to a “Cubby” fan. In Jr. High, he was a wrestler for Frank L. Smart, he followed WWE/RAW wrestling, and was a Michigan Wolverines football fan. He enjoyed spending time with his friends Ross Campbell, Lindsey Campbell, Brian Seamer, Tim Rhoades, Matt & Nick Peckenschneider.

He is survived by his son, Dakota; grandson, Liam; father, Phillip (Linda) Hicks; mother, Brenda Abel-(Bob) Streicher; and a sister, Jessica (Tyler) Lane.
