Cremation will be done with a memorial service to be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2024 at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Condolences may be shared at www.rungemortuary.com.
Roxanne was born on September 29, 1954 in Anamosa, Iowa to Robert & Donna (Housley) Gilmore. In 1977 she met James A. Isham. They spent 35 years together until he preceded her in death on July 3, 2012. Roxanne spent almost 25 years with the Davenport Community School System retiring as a Special Education Para at the former Washington Elementary.
Oma, as she was known as by her grandchildren loved her lunch outings with her siblings and friends that were like family. She enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. Roxanne’s family meant everything to her, as she would spend as much time with them as she could in the summers along with her grandchildren, taking them on adventures and teaching them about life.
Survivors include a son Anthony (Stefanie DeHaven); and a daughter Jada (Dave Ward); 4 grandchildren Chloe, Griffin, Ariana & Jack; 2 sisters Denise Stoffer & Kim (Tom) Campbell; 2 brothers Rob (Cindy) Gilmore & Mark (Karen) Gilmore; brother-in-law John Isham; & numerous nieces & nephews.
Roxanne was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister & brother-in-law Penny & Phil Brown, and brother-in-law Greg Stoffer.
