Ronald G. Stoltenberg

Graveside services for Ronald G. Stoltenberg, 84, of Davenport will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2019 at the Davenport Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. There will be no visitation. Mr. Stoltenberg died on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at his residence in Davenport. Cunnick-Colins Mortuary and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ronald Gary Stoltenberg was born on October 15, 1935 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Henry and Alice (Groth) Stoltenberg. After serving 8 years in the U.S. Naval Reserve he married Jeanette M. Matzen in July of 1955 in Davenport. Mr. Stoltenberg worked for 44 years as a mechanic at the former ALCOA, Riverdale works, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the ALCOA 25 year Club. He loved to hunt, fish, camp, and enjoyed all outdoor adventures. He most especially enjoyed riding motorcycles, snow mobiling and earlier years racing go-karts.

Surviving members of the family include-his Wife: Jeanette of Davenport; 2 Daughters: Angela (Scott) Neubauer of Minnetonka, MN, and Christine (Patrick) Cannon of Murfreesboro, TN; a Son: Andrew (Kathryn) Stoltenberg of Swisher, IA; and a Brother Larry Stoltenberg of NC; 12 Grandchildren; 10 Great-Grandchildren; and a Son-In-Law: Robert Auliff of Walcott.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a Daughter, Julie Auliff

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
