Ronald R. Fahrenkrug

Services will be Monday, October 17, 2022 at12 pm at The Runge Mortuary, with visitation starting at 11 am. His final resting place will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery with military honors. Ron was born March 17, 1945 in Davenport, IA. He was the son of Irvin and Norma (Petersen) Fahrenkrug. He married Marcia Davis on September 3, 1966 in Davenport. He graduated from Black Hawk College. He served his tool and die apprenticeship with JI Case Company and continued working there for thirty years. He retired in 1994. In his free time, he and his wife loved to go fishing, camping and traveling. He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed making cabinets and tables to name a few. In his earlier years, he loved to golf.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Marcia, daughter, Cherie (Doug) Serie, Lakeville, MN, grandchildren: Willem and Nicole Serie, sister, Pat (Owen) Hans, Donahue, IA, five nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Buster.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Derek “Derk” and a brother Gary.
