Robert W. Yeager

Robert W. Yeager, 90, of Davenport, passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. No visitation or services are scheduled. Private burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.

Robert was born April 25, 1924 in Davenport; the son of Clarence and Alice (Offerman) Yeager. He was united in marriage to Juanita M. Anderson on October 22, 1948 in Davenport; she preceded him in death on June 4, 2014. He served in the US Army during WWII.

Robert had been in quality control for the Rock Island Arsenal for thirty years retiring in May 1983. He was a wonderful husband, father and provider. He was loved and will be greatly missed.

Those left to honor his memory include his children: Kathleen A. Schroeder; Lynn S. Peters and Ron S. (Lisa) Yeager; five grandchildren, brother, Clarence and a sister, Marilyn Westerhof. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a sister, Marjorie King.
