Robert Edward Behning Sr.

Robert “Bob” E. Behning Sr., 82, of Blue Grass passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024 at the Funeral Home. Bob was born on April 10, 1942 in Davenport to John and Olga (Piepers) Behning. He was united in marriage to Delores Sisco on October 24, 1964. She preceded him in death on September 26, 2017. Bob worked at Adrian Carriers Trucking Company as a dispatcher, retiring after 28 years. He enjoyed Nascar racing with his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt Sr. On Sundays, Bob would attend church, but not in the traditional meaning; Sundays were spent at the casino for a few hands of Blackjack. He loved his grandkids.

Survivors include his children, Shelly Oake, Robert "Bobby" (Kim) Behning Jr. and Bryan (Heather) Behning; grandchildren, Nick Behning, Blake Behning, Andrea Beale, Bryanna Behning and Brunson Behning; great grandchild, Elias Behning; siblings, Sandy Frisch, Deanne Graydon, Jerry Behning, Tom Behning and Dot Sundholm.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Delores; siblings, Jackie Miller, John "Fuzzy" Behning and Pat Wohlers.
