Rex Allen Concannon

Rex Allen Concannon, 58, of Coal Valley, Illinois passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 from a massive brain aneurism. Funeral services will be held at 7 pm on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 3-7 pm Wednesday at the mortuary. Cremation will follow the service. Rex was born February 10, 1957 in Davenport and was a graduate of Davenport Central High School. He married the love of his life, Cindy Benson, on February 5, 2005. He retired after twenty-five years of service with Wonder Bread. Following his retirement he was employed by McCarthy-Bush Contruction and InfraSource.

He was a member of the Lindsay Park Yacht Club and Teamsters Local 371 in Milan. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, boating, motorcycles, traveling and craftsmanship. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Cindy and stepson Shane (Jennifer) Cochran; specially-acquired son Jimmy (Angela) Briggs; step grandchildren: Owen, Pip and Isabelle; loving sister Roxy (Rick) Kislia; niece Jennifer (Eli) Kincaid; parents-in-law Don and Betty Hepner; sister-in-law Gail (Peter) Shaheed and three nieces and nephews.
